Gardens by the Bay is a haven for both aspiring horticulturists and nature lovers and is situated by the Marina Bay Waterfront in the centre of Singapore.
This paradise of lush vegetation, which spans three unique areas over 101 hectares (Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden), has received numerous honours since it originally opened in 2012.
The “Landscape Award” from Global Architecture News in 2013, “Best Attraction in Asia Pacific” from Travel Weekly in 2015, and “Best Attraction Experience” at the 2019 Singapore Tourism Awards are a few examples.
Flower Dome
Visitors are drawn to the Flower Dome in Bay South Gardens by the splendour of nature. The largest of three cooled conservatories, this lush area spans 1.28 hectares, and in 2015 it set the record for the largest glass greenhouse in the world. It is home to plants and flowers from five different continents, including magnolias, orchids, and olive trees with a thousand-year history.
The Flower Dome is undoubtedly one of Gardens by the Bay’s most breathtaking sights, but there are many other floral havens for visitors to explore.
Floral Fantasy
Be sure to look out for Floral Fantasy as you leisurely stroll through Gardens by the Sea.
The second of the three indoor conservatories at the Gardens explores both historical and fantastical spheres. Each of its four unique zones, which feature opulent interiors, dramatic driftwood sculptures, and works of floral art, draws inspiration from fairy tales and the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Cloud Forest
The Cloud Forest, the third conservatory in Gardens by the Bay, is a mist-covered landscape with unique plants and breathtaking views.
A 35-meter-tall, mist-covered, and lushly vegetated edifice called Cloud Mountain looms over the conservatories’ ferns and pitcher plants. As you ascend its heights and uncover plant life from the tropical highlands, your imagination is certain to fly.
